Overview

Installation is a reasonably straightforward process. It will probably take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your level of computer-literacy and the speed of your internet connection. You might find it easier to print this page.

Step 1: Install Firefox

The Sunday software itself is actually an extension of the web browser Firefox (in the Firefox world, it'd be called an add-on). Normally, you'd use Firefox for surfing the internet, but we're going to be using it for a different purpose.

If you already use Firefox, there's a few more steps which you should take to keep your web browsing and Sunday apart.

Step 2: Install Sunday

Getting Sunday installed in Firefox is extremely easy. Once you've finished this step you'll have the trial version.

Step 3: Register Sunday

If you've tried it, and want to use the full version, you'll need to buy a registration key.

Install Firefox

What version of Firefox is required?
Firefox 3.5 is the earliest version that will work. Version 3.6 has some additional features we could use, but that version has not been released at the time of writing.
I already use Firefox for browsing the web, how will Sunday affect it?

You will still be able to browse the web as normal, but it's likely that you'll want someone else to operate Sunday for you (because you'll be busy doing other things like meeting and greeting parents). Your best option is to create a new user account for your computer, that way nobody will be able to see your stuff.

I plan for later versions to integrate more with Firefox's toolbars and menus, and I'm working on ways for that to happen without affecting your day-to-day use of Firefox.
