I did it!

Six months after the last release, and four months after I planned to, here's a new version of IRC24 for you!

This is just a prettiness upgrade (I don't remember changing anything else, but it's been a while), and it should look smokin' on XP and Vista. If anything looks wrong let me know.

List of Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Ctrl+Tab: Switches to the next window. Which window is next is determined by the order in which they were last visible. Holding down Ctrl while continuing to press Tab cycles through all the windows.
  • Ctrl+Q: Quits IRC24. Will not minimise to the tray.
  • Alt+F4: Quits IRC24, except if the minimise to tray option is set on the Display page.
  • Ctrl+Plus/Ctrl+Minus: Increases/decreases the font size in chat windows.
  • Ctrl+0 (Zero): Resets the font size of chat windows.
  • F11: Alternates the switchbar between the top and bottom of the window.
  • PageUp/PageDown: Scrolls the chat window up or down.
  • Ctrl+F4/Ctrl+W: Closes the current chat window. If you're in a channel, parts from that channel.
  • Ctrl+F: Shows/hides the Find Panel. You can use this to find text further up the chat window.
  • F3/Shift+F3: Finds the previous/next occurance of the search text.
  • Esc: Hides the Find Panel.
  • F12: Alternates the nick list between left and right.
  • Ctrl+D: Shows the DCC panel. The user interface for this is not finished (you can probably break it quite easily) but should work for most purposes.

List of Custom Commands

  • /banlist: Fetches the list of bans from the server and displays them in a window. /mode #channel +b
  • /wholist: Fetches information about all the users on a channel and displays them in a window. /who #channel
  • /clear: Clears all the previous chat from the current window.
  • /close: Closes a private message window. Equivalent to /part, except for PM windows.
  • /sleep: Minimises the window to the system tray.
  • /mp3: Displays what you're listening to in Winamp.
  • /wmp3: Displays what you're listening to in Windows Media Player. Requires this plugin for WMP.
  • /fmp3: Displays what you're listening to in Foobar 2000.
  • /imp3: Displays what you're listening to in iTunes. Requires the iTunes file included with IRC24.
