Here's another new feature that you'll be able to use on Sunday soon - a bar chart of your attendance figures:
As you can see the bars are colour-coded by session, so you can easily get an idea of which sessions are growing and which are shrinking. I think it probably needs some prettier colours though.
This feature won't make it to the trial version.
I've spent the last while working on a pretty significant new feature for Sunday - printing a sheet of nametags on an A4 page. The nametags have the person's name and barcode pre-printed on them, so all you need to do is chop them up and laminate them. Conveniently they're the perfect size for laminating pouches.
This feature isn't actually included in Sunday yet, but it's not too far away.
So now you won't need a label printer to run Sunday. But you should still get one, because they're fun.

My barcode attendance system, Sunday, is now available for anyone to try out. Originally developed for St Columba, I've spent the last two months rewriting it to be flexible and robust enough for anyone to use.
This is not a new software product (we've used it at St Columba since early 2008), but previously it's only been used in one situation.
Sunday is a system for tracking who's attending your Sunday school, after-school programme or whatever - without having to waste time and paperwork on a roll-call. Each participant gets a unique barcode for their nametag, which you read with a barcode reader each time they come to your programme. Sunday can then tell you exactly who attended each time, and when somebody last attended.
From now until November 30, Sunday has the special introductory cost of NZ$150. On December 1 the price will rise to $200. If you buy early you won't miss out on any of the updates.
